Jimmy on the Trail RocketMan 🚀
That's a Wrap!
To all my friends and family that followed my AT adventure and provided words of encouragement THANK YOU! I would not of finished without your support.
I can say that the AT gave me the opportunity to experience a part of America that most Americans will never see. The people I met were from many different professions - recent high school graduates, firemen, nurses, truck drivers, layers, doctors, rocket scientist, etc… they spanned the ages of 18 to 80 and all had their own reason to be on trail. These people were some of the best of America and other countries and they could be counted on to help each other and provide encouragement when times were hard.
The numerous small towns that I would likely never visit added to the adventure with great food, drink and interesting people.
Finally if you were ever considering on venturing out on a journey yourself I would encourage you to GO it can be the best adventure you ever have. Be safe and be kind to each other!

About Me
Hi, I'm Jimmy and I am an Appalachian Trail through-hiker! I've dreamed of hiking the trail for quite sometime, making the decision in 2016 after a serious medical scare that made me realize I needed to quit dreaming of hiking and make it a reality. 2022 became the year that would fit with my wife’s and my current and future plans to take a step back from the 9-5 grind of working in rooms without windows and stepping out into the great outdoors to see a part of America that most never venture to experience.
The hike starts March 14 and will continue for about 4 to 5 months. You can follow me along the trail with posted tracking updates, photos and blog posts, and maybe even some GoPro footage of critters, scenery and me!
As background on The Appalachian Trail, it's a 2193 mile trail marked by white blazes starting on Springer Mountain in Georgia passing through 14 states and ending atop Mt Katahdin in Maine. You can find additional information here.
Time to head North to follow my dream, engage in adventure, and experience a euphoric sense of freedom and contentment!
