Day 1, Springer Mountain

It's Pi day and the kickoff of my AT adventure. I am at Amicola Falls which is the approach trail consisting of 604 stairs to the top and 8.8 miles that don't count against the AT milage to reach the start at Springer Mountain. On my approach I met “Stan The Man” who is hiking the AT and producing a youtube documentary of his trip which I should be in unless I ended up on the cutting room floor. This day ended at Stover Creek Shelter with 2.2 miles of the AT completed. What will tomorrow bring?
