Day 114, Stratton Pond Shelter

I took off early today to hopefully get to the Stratton Pond Shelter before the rain is expected to start but of course the weather man was a little off and I got to hike in the rain for a short period of time. I made it to the shelter and within an hour it filled to capacity when a youth group with 8 kids showing up along with additional AT hikers some of which ended up sleeping on the floor to get out of the rain. The shelters are really filling up early just like I experienced at the start of my trip with the addition of SOBO’s, Flip Floppers,and the Long Trail hikers all on the trail now.
