Day 126, Hikers Welcome Hostel

Lazarus and I left the Hostel around 6:45 heading up and over Mt. Moosilauke a 9.5 mile hike but one of the best views so far as we climbed above the tree line and had 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains. When we reached the top it was crowded with day hikers so we took our pictures and headed down the hill to Kinsman Notch and Rt112 to go to the Notch Hostel for two night. When we arrived at the hostel we planned for showers and dinner but we needed to get to an outfitter in Lincoln before it closed so off we went via a bit of trail magic ride into town. It turned out that the outfitter had 4 stores with the same name-we needed the one serving backpacking and of course it was the 4th one. With backpacker meal in the bag off to price chopper for trail breakfast and lunch items. The town trip ended with dinner at One Love Brewery and dessert at a ice-cream shop. Once back to the Hostel it was laundry, showers and prep for a 16 mile slack pack over the Kinsman’s mountains on the 18th.
