I had a big pancake breakfast before we got on the 7 o'clock shuttle for our slack pack of 4500 feet up and 5000 ft down covering 16 miles over 3 mountains 2 were over 4200ft. The day started out with an uphill hike over Mt Wolf which was 5 miles and 2100 ft up but it began raining and the climb over the Kinsman’s involved a lot of steep climbs and bouldering-poles just got in the way. Today was the most dangerous day of hiking to date. I completed the hike by 3:45 and made it to the pickup point where I stopped in the port-a-potty to get out of the rain and wait for the 4:50 shuttle back to the hostel. Once back at the hostel the first thing was a hot shower to chase away the cold. Lazarus made it back a little later but his day was terrible so some Thai comfort food and ice-cream to chase away the negative thoughts of quitting the trail.
