Day 13, Brown Fork Gap Shelter

Today I left camp alone to make it to the NOC 16 miles at mile post 136.9. They closed their campsites requiring you to get a bunk or hike on. I was tired so got a bunk. I would have been better off sleeping on the trail as I was stuck in a room with three snores earplugs and headphones did not help 😞. Interesting place they train for competitive kayaking and the trail of tears went thru the center along the river. Had a great greek salad burger and beer then french toast and COFFEE for breakfast before heading down the trail for an arduous day of 16 miles and over 5000ft of elevation gain. Stopped at Brown Fork gap AT 152.9 miles.
