Day 133, IMP campsite
Latitude: 44.326723 Longitude: -71.149049
With a new phone and a 2 day resupply I headed out on to trail to complete the White’s final 21 miles. The day started with a steed climb up Wildcat D and E some of the steepest assents on the trail with a final destination of Imp Campsite at 13.1 miles. The one interesting sites of the day was a ski gondola that you can take to a restaurant at the bottom of the hill. When we got to the shelter we got word that a young hiker named Shepard suffered an injury and had to back track a mile to the gondola where a rescue team stabilized his foot for a possible achilles tendon tear-his journey stopped here until an MRI determines the extent of his injury. We also met a hiker that was attempting to do the 21 miles in a single day slack packing. I met him at the Imp shelter at 7pm and he still had 8 miles to go.
