Day 134, Gorham NH

Started the day at 6:30 to hike 8 miles to Rt 2 for a ride back to the Hostel and next resupply. Our plan was to keep our weight light in order to reduce stress on our knees during the long descents. The trail was difficult on the way down the mountain requiring the use of my hands to navigate the steep descents-I thought this was going to be a hike not mountain climbing and bouldering. Once I got to the bottom I met a past hiker who was hiking in the local area and offering Trail magic-chips, sodas, and beer plus a much needed free shuttle to the hostel. Another day done and we signed up for the shuttle run to Walmart to resupply for a three day hike to Andover Maine.
