Day 29, Cherry Gap Shelter

Left Uncle Johnny’s at 7:30 ad hiked till 1715 completing 17.2 miles the most miles since my shin splints but today no pain so maybe Im back on track hiking bigger miles. Todays hike was mostly up hill with about 5100ft elevation gain. The best part of the day was hiking along a mountain spring which was cascading down the mountain filling the trail with the sounds of flowing water over the rocks against the backdrop of the bird songs. When I approached the highest peaks today there was still snow on the ground hopefully the snowy days are behind me.
