Day 55, Glasglow

Today was a big push of 20.0 miles in a constant drizzle to get to US501 for a shuttle to Glasgow and the Stanimal Hostel for a resupply to get me to Waynesboro. I ended up getting ahold of Charlie at the Hostel to get a ride into town when I was about 5 miles to the pickup point and it was the last point to get cell service he said he was going do a pickup at 15:15 and asked if I could make it well it was all down hill from that point but I would need to pickup the pace to arrive in time. I gave him the thumbs up and did double time down the hill. I was lucky that the trail was mostly rock free and I was able to get there on time. In town I got the heaviest food load out yet! The pack was 40 pounds-trail mix and snickers are heavy. In town there was only one place to eat and hiker hunger was still with me-I had the large meat calzone, cut salad, a milk shake and 2 IPA’s then a brownie sundae at the hostel with my 3rd sprite. All who saw this display of gluttony was amazed I am surely hollow inside to be able to eat like this.
