Day 94, Mashipacong Shelter
Latitude: 41.252042 Longitude: -74.68596
A long day of hiking crossing beaver dams and passing fire towers on my way to a shelter in order to stay in the shelter before the rain started. Well like most weather predictions it was a little off with the thunderstorms starting in the middle of the night and it was a downpour with lighting and heavy rain. I met a guy here who was just getting into backpacking and he brought a small stove that used wood to cook his food so his friend suggested he give it a go this morning given the wet conditions but the guy asked to borrow a gas stove just like the one recommended to him but he refused to get. The down pour made for a late start in the morning as no one wanted to get going but the trail is waiting.
